Is there a product that will remove CA glue from a UV poly finish that won't eat the finish? I smeared jet glue on a headstock and I'm hoping I can avoid a sand/rebuff... Thanks |

Don't know about the UV but I've used 100% acetone to remove CA from standard polyester finish. Didn't even touch the polyester. I tested in the pickup cavity first. It beaded up and didn't even begin to dissolve the guitar finish, and it took the CA right off. |

Acetone will remove CA, and should have zero effect on UV polyester. I have done it a few times on Taylors with UV polyester, and hundreds of times on the catalyzed polyester of Asian guitars. Quote: what is superglue remover? Mostly acetone. |

Acetone and nitromethane both work well as CA solvents, it's likely one of those. |
