Anybody got a favorite? I use Hercules stands on stage and as wall hangers in my house, but wondered what y'all are liking these days for displaying your wares at shows. |

Hercules stands are great and we have a triple and single stand that we use on stage for performing...... the best! ......however they are uglier than the underside of a sludge pump. For shows I have several Slayframe stands which I think combine the best combination of looks, stability and portability. Google Slayframe by Duane Slaymaker. |

I am using some small aluminum fold ups made by K&M, called the Memphis Travel stand. small and light yet sturdy. |

I've used small K&M ones too and I like them. Very compact when folded and more secure than they look. ![]() http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Lightweight ... m_sbs_MI_4 |

More importantly, will they react with lacquer or shellac? |

Some great options here! The K&M looks like a great, economical option with great reviews. The Cooperstand looks WAY cool, made of sapele, and still not a bad price for the extra cool factor and the quality looks very nice. Definitely something worthy of accompanying a custom guitar in a show. Do you find them to be pretty stable? The Slayframe looks very nice - bulkier and more expensive, but looks very stable. The Slayframe reminds me - someone one here, I think, was making their own stands along those lines a while back weren't they? Anybody remember? Would be a piece of cake to build one you got the template worked out. |

Does anyone have a plan for a wooden guitar stand? Good if there are a lot of scrap wood.. |
