I have a customer that likes the feel of a Taylor neck and would like a similar profile on the guitar I'm building for him. I have one of Tracy's neck profile templates (luthiersuppliers.com) taken off of a 2006 Taylor Grand Concert. Is there anyone who knows if this is the current neck shape Taylor is using? I have done some searching for info on Taylor neck shapes but haven't come up with much. I believe they offer some different profiles under their build to order program but I'm looking for the generic shape they use on stock guitars. I don't know anyone around here who has a Taylor I can measure. Thanks Josh |

I think you should ask your customer to borrow a Taylor of the shape that suits him/her, and bring it to you so you can take off your own profiles. |

This 4th thread in the post below has the Taylor neck options as of 2006: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/foru ... p?t=219818 |

I have often done this, but in this case I think it would be about a 20 hour drive for the customer. It appears that my template matches the standard neck shape. Thanks |

Maybe your customer can take it to a local shop and have them profile the neck, scan the images and email them to you. |

It appears that my template matches the standard neck shape. Thanks It does. It will match all of the "standard" models for the last 10 years or so. |
