Post subject:  HELP- armrest issues

I am doing an armrest (koa) on my current build. It was looking great until finish. I was leveling pore fill on the radial cocobolo on the top around the armrest and sanded just a smidge too much. Now my nice .010 black purfling line around the armrest has revealed more and apparently has rolled over a bit. There isn't a gap, but instead the purf line is about .030 now. I don't like the way this looks. Any suggestions? I am hoping someone might have an idea other than rip the armrest laminate off and try again (again). Thanks.

I don't do bevels so I may be way off........but..........the armrest area of the guitar obviously looks different than the rest of the edge. Can you sand it until it just kinda blends from a .010" purf into a .030" purf, then back to .010"? I know it may bother you most people (including me) would think it was cool.
