It has much of the same qualities of Mahogany and actually from the same family but lighter in color. It's also very stable and would be good for instruments. ![]() |

Quartersawn Avodire has a really nice figure to it. I have attached a jpeg. Otherwise, i think it looks kind of plain. Same color family as Anigre. Probably about the same density as well. I think the figured stuff would make a great looking guitar, though I have not built with it, so I am ignorant of the sound qualities. |
