A little less maybe. Do you have a thing against parrot vises. I really don't like mine. I think I may invest in the one above.

I love my Parrot vise for a lot of things, but it isn't capable of doing many of the tasks you can do with the repair vise.

This one is $50 but maybe not what you are looking for. It has optional tilting jaws for holding tapered material.

I've been on the fence as to which one to get for a while.

What are the primary differences (what can you do with one that you can’t do with the other) between the two?

Thanks. I'm still at the stage where I'm trying to pinch as many pennies as possible to spread out the tool costs. But at the same time, I'm finding that sometimes the cost savings doesn't add up in the long run.
