I just finished a lutz spruce mahogany OLF SJ. Other than The Tree, this is the first mahogany I have used. I understand why it is a favorite. It is easy to build with and sounds great. This is easily the loudest guitar I have made. A friend came buy to play it and said it was a real cannon. Is mahogany supercharged? Features - EVO gold fret wire Schertler 18:1 open back tuners (nice!) Great Lutz Top from Shane This top rocks! Mac Ebony fret board/binding Mahogany/maple/bloodwood neck Afzelia burl head plate/rosette/bottom wedge Small radiused armrest 25.4 scale Oval soundport ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Steve Davis wrote: The neck lam is a little bright for me right now (pics?)...... Yes, it is the pics that make it look that bright. In person it is much better. I'l see if I can get better pics. Steve Davis wrote: ..... No full frontals of peg head...cmon man!..... They didn't come out. I'll take some more tomorrow. That burl is gorgeous, but a little camera shy. ![]() |
