Post subject:  Lutz Mahogany SJ completed (lots of pics)

I just finished a lutz spruce mahogany OLF SJ. Other than The Tree, this is the first mahogany I have used. I understand why it is a favorite. It is easy to build with and sounds great.
This is easily the loudest guitar I have made. A friend came buy to play it and said it was a real cannon.
Is mahogany supercharged?

Schertler 18:1 open back tuners (nice!)
Great Lutz Top from Shane This top rocks!
Mac Ebony fret board/binding
Mahogany/maple/bloodwood neck
Afzelia burl head plate/rosette/bottom wedge
Small radiused armrest

Great looking guitar
The neck lam is a little bright for me right now (pics?)but give it a year and
I think it will look killer. No full frontals of peg head...cmon man!

Yes, it is the pics that make it look that bright. In person it is much better. I'l see if I can get better pics.

They didn't come out. I'll take some more tomorrow. That burl is gorgeous, but a little camera shy. :)
