I use PAS Frequency Generator 2010, they have a free test program that you can try. It allows a limited time of use then stops. You can start it again, but is annoying. $50 to purchase the software, so depends how much you use it. Chuck |

I use the NCH software, I went ahead and paid the $30. Well worth it, it is easy to do what you need to do (at least on my laptop). I think it has a free trial period. Mikey |

I would second Audacity. If you want to just generate simple sine waves at whatever frequency, Its perfect for the job. And it is indeed free! Its at least worth a try ![]() |

AudioTest does frequency adjustments at 1 Hz intervals with the mouse scroll wheel, making it very easy to do slow sweeps. Dead accurate with constant amplitude to 20k, which is the highest I checked. $15 shareware. Might be Mac only though. Pat |

I use freeware called Tone Generator Beta 2.01 (Apr2008) by PEVSoft, Sydney, "written to assist guitar luthiers". Maybe it's still available. |

Visual Analyser has a wave generator (2 channel) and spectrum analyzer. Frequency is changed by mouse clicks on buttons. Free. http://www.sillanumsoft.org/prod01.htm |
