I'm looking for some cam clamps to replace the POS ones I got a few years ago from Shop Fox. Don't get me started on how BAD these things are!

I figured maybe some of you might have some decent 6" ones around collecting dust and would be willing to part with them.

I could use a few 4" but am mostly looking for the 6" ones.

For those of you unsure what I'm talking about - it is these:

FYI - please don't tell me to build them myself, as I don't have the desire to. :D

Thanks

They sell the ones made by Pinnacle at Woodcraft... Very good quality... I agree with you about the ones made by Shop Fox... Junk.

If you have one nearby - you could buy one as an excuse to rifle through their wood stacks... bliss

I also have a great source for NEW clamps - I think they make them for StewMac:

The prices are good - but I'd really like to spend about half that (or less) for some used ones that someone might have sitting around collecting dust.

Peck Tool carries Klemmsia cam clamps. They're a bit more expensive than others.

I bought a bunch of Klemsias some time ago from LMII, and sent them all back. The way they where built, the faces of the jaws wouldn't come together straight. I could only get clamping pressure on the very very tip of the clamp, and it would yank everything out of alignment because of the angle. Completely useless. I was really bummed out because they are VERY nice in every other respect. I hope they fixed their issues. I'd love to have some that were properly made.

I've been using the Woodcraft ones and have a bunch of them here. They're all very nice and if I remember correctly they're actually made in the USA :)

Have you considered making them?
