Shane has been dealing with ISP issues. He sent me his note today....

I have not had Internet or email service since mid December. I can receive emails but can't reply and can not get on the web. I am hoping that my provider repairs it SOON.

Anyway, can you post on the forum that I am out of service for a bit and I will post once I am back on line?

Good to know. I sent him an order a while ago but figured maybe he was out of town or something. Glad he's ok.

I called Shane yesterday and placed a phone order, since his internet is down. He said that he switched to a different ISP, and a month later a snow storm damaged some equipment on a nearby tower that is causing his outage. Apparently the new ISP is having issues getting to the equipment. He's doing what he can to get back online, but in the meantime he can still answer the phone if anyone needs something that can't wait.

We emailed back and forth about some Harp guitar tops. My last email to him was 11/15. He never responded so I bought from another supplier. I thought he was too busy to help me but I am glad to know what the actual problem was. I had heard good things about him. My faith is restored.

I wonder if he is from the area of Alaska that recently got 15 feet of snow. They called in the national guard and People were trapped in their houses. Crazy. At least his phone is working.

anybody having any luck with emailing him? I've tried but no response, I assume even if it is working he probably has a lot of stuff to do to get caught up.

Hi Everyone,

Yup, I am back on line but super behind. Coupled with the internet issues, we are still dealing with issues from the stroke my wife had last spring (she was informed she can no longer drive a week ago, we will dispute it and have lots of precedence to win but another time consuming fight [xx(] ) and to top that off winter came early about the 3rd week of November and hasn't left. My spruce logs are buried under 4 feet of snow so it will be a couple of months yet until I can get to them. I will doing some cedar sets in the interim and can do CNC projects but spruce is a bit away....What a year!! Lance has said that I can get a bit of sale on some other items going and I will do that in the next little while I have lots of odds and ends (like Mahogany back and sides, outside moulds, radiused sanding blocks and few other things that I don't have advertised).

Thanks for your patience and I do apologize for all of this! Oh ya, and Happy New YEAR!

Shane

Wishing you all the best!

You know, Winnipeg has a bit of a reputation for nasty winters. I'd be hard pressed to find 4" of snow this year, let a lone 4'! And the temps have been above normal too. Yeah, its rough.
