Post subject:  K&K Pure Classic

Hi Folks,
While discussing a classical build with a client I was asked about K&K's Pure Classic pickup. I'm familiar with K&K but I've never used their products. Anyone have any practical experience with K&K's pickups and the Pure Classic in particular? I checked their website and, like most companies, they're pretty good at tooting their own horn. Any real-life feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

I've used K&K pure western's on 4 guitars and have been very happy with them. They work well, no need for a preamp as they send a nice hot signal without power.

I've installed K&K pure classic setup with and without pre-amp. Probably a total of about 10 units. I think it's a pretty nice product, sounds good, and is well-received by musicians.

K&Ks in a nylon string guitar are stellar. I've done quite a few for nylon string players, they all love the results. All of them were passive. no preamp.

I have no experience, but I've heard good things about the McIntyre classical pickups too. They do not have an internal pre-amp either.
