Well, its finally all done! This guitar was built for Rodrigo Rodriguez. No, its not a nylon string guitar but was spec'd out for a classical guitar player. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

OK, I'll be the dissenter. Gorgeous woodworking as usual! But it looks like part of the fretboard fell off. |

Wow, what an amazing guitar! The piece he's playing is great too, I don't know it...what is it? (not that I could hope to manage it!) Alan |

I love absolutely everything about that guitar. The design is absolutely beautiful with the staggered bridge wings and head stock. However I would have to agree with Jim about the fretboard tongue. Not that those notes get played much but in this case they will never get played. ![]() But who am I? I never have built one that looks so beautiful, good work ![]() ![]() |

very nice; it still kind of has that round "classical" sound....i'm starting to think that nylon strings account for a much smaller portion of the sound than i thought. |

Classical strings do not have enough tension to drive the top like steels do. I love small body guitars. They sing with clarity! I use my classical shape to make allot of steels for classical players. They do not like the monster dreadnaught size-or tone. And factory small bodies are treated with the same mentality as their BIG box guitars. So they sound thin ! No good bass responce. I hope you make more of them! ![]() Mc |

I think it's gorgeous all the way around and that headstock design, in particular, is stunning! Patrick |

Very Beautiful! I agree with some of the others on the fingerboard above the 12th, but if he wanted the outline of an R in the bass side, who am I to say? Nice work, as per usual! Sounds very good, but IMO, still sounds like a steel string. |

I will not comment on tone Peter simply because PC speakers and the whole digital exchange thing from the utooborelater makes it all in the air for me really. But the playing was excellent, and I am fairly certain that, in person, the guitar would sound 'almost' as good as it looks. As for how the guitar looks, well the matched step in the headstock and bridge is a very classy touch and that BRW, particularly in the sides, is just 'too' sexy man and should only ever have been entrusted to one with your level of skill. As for the fretboard end treatment, I am with others and find it not to my personal taste because to me, the organic curves tend to clash with the straight stepped theme of the bride and headstock. But to each his own and the whole package is beautiful. Must also add that your workmanship has always been exceptional and one of the best things about being a regular at the OLF has been watching how over the years, you have never stopped raising the bar for yourself and then making the leap to the next level. Congratulations mate, ur one of the very best. ![]() ![]() ![]() P.S. Just looked at the title of the topic again and now realise I probably should have shut up because I hardly qualify as a player of any type of guitar...but I do like them a lot and have fix a few so I guess that counts for something. ![]() Cheers Kim |

No words to describe this masterpiece. REALLY Tough piece to play on a steel string.....let alone a nylon. KB |
