But only because I got laid off. ![]() ![]() Unemployment in my field / region is lower than average so let's hope for the best. Guess I will be making more progress on my 8 string jazz guitar. Thanks for letting me vent. |

Hoping for the best for you. In the mean time, enjoy the time in the shop. I got to peek in mine before I left for work this morning ![]() |

Thanks all. I have actually been doing all my woodworking in an apartment for a few months. Not as bad as I though it would be, maybe better in someways. I can tell you I am an expert in unjamming the wood shavings from the vacuum cleaner now. Of course, my girlfriend does not live with me, else there might be a small dilemma... Personally I think a Boone mini plane is a nice decoration piece for the coffee table. |

I build when weather/economy slows my carpentry jobs down. It's a love/hate relationship. Love building/hate working! Good thing about building gits is, you don't need a lot of space! |

Good luck in both. I always hear the stories about the guy who got laid off and then went on to what they really wanted to do and made a killing at it. You never know. But I'll say a prayer for you. |

But I'll say a prayer for you. It could even be a sign from God that you should be offering luthiery services to your community. That's what I am doing, on the plus side there are so few luthiers in Taiwan that there are hardly any competition, and I think (and hope) that someone can always use a setup or repairs... especially given the large number of Gibsons in Taiwan and the fact that their neck breaks if you so much as touch it... |
