The search function seems to be failing me. Could someone who knows point me to info on V Joints for classical headstocks (Waddy?) I thought there was a good toot somewhere, but I can't find it. An aside - as I moved into building the Romanillos design, my first customer requested a cedar top as opposed to the usual spruce that would be standard for the design. This guitar was finished about a month ago (sorry, I still haven't provided a set of pictures yet - I'm waiting until closer to delivery in November to finish cleaning up the FP job). I'm a few weeks away from finishing the first spruce one, but in the meantime, the next customer has played the cedar one, and says build another. I hope Jose doesn't take offense ![]() At any rate, I want to challenge myself a little on this one. |

The best tutorial was Joshua French's, and it's in the "Archived OLF Tutorials", but all the pictures are gone. I did a version of it over at Luthier Community. You can see it here: http://luthiercom.org/phpbb3/viewtopic. ... b449eefd3f You can also see it on my #2 build on my Photobucket site, link below. Probably not as much text on the build site. One point to make. Chalk is your friend when fitting the head to the male V. |
