Hello, what do you think is this:

https://picasaweb.google.com/1157931855 ... directlink

Dalbergia Granadillo, Granadillo

OR

Platymiscium Yucatanum, Granadillo, close related to: Macacauba, Panama Rosewood

Of course it is dense, hard etc. But has less, or smaller pores like the general Dalbergias I know.
Smell....hm I don't know, nothing special....

It defenetly comes very close to lots of the pictures of this stuff:

http://hobbithouseinc.com/personal/wood ... adillo.htm

What is Dalbergia Granadilo actually? Just another word for Dalbergia retusa?

I just don't get it...

Thank you so much for any help.

Best regrads, Alex

I think that's just plain Granadillo.....

The Rosewood version, which Bob over at RCTonewoods had a little of, is much darker. I have to say thought...Iv'e built with Granadillo and it can contribute greatly to guitar's projection. Good stuff.
