| Post subject: | Martin 00 Side Length? |
Does anyone happen to know how long the sides are on a Martin 00 (12 or 14 fret model)? I found some really nice wood here locally, at what I think is a great deal, but the longest piece I could find for sides is just over 30", so I want to make sure that it's going to be usable before I decide to pick it up. Thanks! |

The 00 14 fret is 28 3/4", the 12 fret a bit longer but still under 30". |

30" is ok "finished length". I'd be wary of any less, it is nice to have a little on the ends for bending leverage. |

You can cheat a little on the length if you use a wider tail graft and a Gibson style heel. And then there is always a Size 1....... |
