I'm sure it's a nice saw but at twice the price of the old 14" it's not a good deal. You can buy a larger saw cheaper from grizzly that would be much better because of the larger wheels and the same size from laguna with better guides for less.

Todd, The GO457 has a 10" resaw height not 8" as you stated. It also comes with a higher resaw fence then the rikon. I have the 10-325 and don't like the bearing guides that came with it as the bearings clog up with sawdust and stop working everytime i use it which is a real pain :( Sawdust gets past the seals on the bearings and fowls the race and ballbearings which stops the bearing from doing it's job and that is bad.

Mark why don't you replace the bearings with good quality sealed bearings. Maybe you have a local bearing store that can match them up. Pretty inexpensive.

I plan on replaceing the bearings with good quality sealed ones for sure as the ones that came with the saw are worthless to say the least. I do like the saw for the price i payed though. It does a fine job resawing with the fence i made for it.
