Gratz on the score! If you haven't worked with cocobolo before, you might be careful of the dust. Some people are very sensitive to it, and a few folks I know just won't work with it at all. It's a beautiful wood, and it makes the coolest little piles of oily orange sawdust when you cut it! |

Hibdon has a great place and Jerry and his staff are second to NONE when it comes to service and quality. You wont be disappointed . The down side I have is he is only 2 hrs away , and for a zootaholic thats dangerous ! ![]() |

Yep, worked with plenty of cocobolo and so far I'm good with it. I actually love the way it smells. Really weird how the different cocobolo's (i.e. mexico, guatemala?? I think) or wherever else they come from. They smell similar but quite different, and have a different look as well. Don Williams wrote: "The Build" ? Yeah I want to make a special one for myself, so I call it The Build ![]() ![]() It'll be sinker redwood top that I already got, nicely figured cocobolo, curly koa bindings with cocobolo radial purflings. I'm also going to try and make a coco radial rosette. I was aiming to get a dark look out of this one, and really what inspired that was this http://ryanguitars.com/NewsandEvents/Gu ... stDeco.htm |
