Letts see...we just finished a spruce discussion a little while back, are about ready to wind down the thread on ban saw blade babble (hopefully) and gott an active chisel thread going.... Seems time is about right for another goo thread. Common, who gonna start the next Hide goo Vs this that or spit n chewwy gum thread? Hmmm  blessings  Padma

Black beer so early, Padma? Or is it something else...? I've personally found each of the threads you referenced useful and interesting from a lutherie perspective. Perhaps you might try posting something useful and interesting?

Padma Im thinking of mixing hide glue with Bondo and make a very sticky filler ya know !

" Not aiming at anyone charlie " just an observation . So please dont think I am pointing at you , Im not. I appreciate any and all input , however i have learned that there are some who are close minded about " the only way " it can be done , and I generally dont ask or use there advice . Why ? Because if everyone felt that way we would still have inqusitions and some here would be burned at the stake while the rest played lutes. So now that ive stepped in the "cow pie " let the BS flow !

I'm with you, Jim; I enjoy all of the discussions and perspectives and try to learn from all of them. Some people have a way of discouraging discussion about certain topics, and I'm NOT talking about you, Jim.  You and I know to let 'those comments' by 'those folks' go in one ear and out the other, but some don't...especially newbies who come here to ask questions and learn. IMO that behavior should be discouraged here, not encouraged.That's all I'm sayin'.

To digress from the topic at hand a bit but... The Padma's posts are pretty much perfect as is but if you haven't already, I highly encourage reading his posts in pirate voice. Feel free to throw in a couple of Arrrgggs here and there. Perhaps the Padma can start adding them in himself. Back to hide goo..... |
