Well I still have to assemble some tools and find places for other (and hook up all the duct work for the dust collection system) but you get the idea. What do you think? (BTW, the tv only goes on while I'm hanging out. Not while I'm working)

I can't legally drink yet, but I'll keep that in mind for the future lol

Thanks everyone, and btw the shop only takes up 1/3 of the basement. Oh and I should mention it's my dads shop but I use it wayyyyyy more than him so I call it my shop lol

No shop is complete without a saw blade clock! Very nice work!

I bet someone at Grizzly is wishing they made a commission on sales :p

Wow, now that's some breathing room! The yellow is hideous though. Might want to have an "accident" with a big bucket of paint in there  But seriously, nice shop. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of it [:Y:] Especially that little Torres copy from your recent thread. Still been pondering on that one, and other braceless/sparsely braced designs. Thar be experimentation to do!

Don't let these guys make you feel bad about the yellow; a bright shop is a thing of beauty ;)
These guys are wayyyyy jealous  Most of us don't have such a luxurious shop...
BTW, when you come of age, keep the beer out of the shop- alcohol and machine tools are an unhealthy mix.
Enjoy

Yes, a very nice space, and I'm envious of your tools, too. But, in my view, the very best thing about your shop is that it is so well lighted. Excellent all the way around.

The shop looks great. I bet the lighting makes the floor look brighter than it really is. Is it VCT?

Add some work mats and it will break up your sea of yellow.

But great space. It looks like you are set on machine tools.

There is no age limit on a legal glue fridge.

Show more pics once you get things set up.

Nice! Did you just win the Lotto? It is nice to unwrap and assemble some new equipment. A little art work on the walls and you'll never want to go back up stairs. If you're really nice to your mom maybe she'll bring your meals down. [:Y:]

What is on the floors? I like it.

Cheers,
Danny

Beautiful space. Don't let that yellow floor jump up and hit you in the backside! :D Some mats would be very helpful to your feet and back too.

The Banana Peel Shop Floor.
Watch yer step!
Woodn't want ya to slip or nuthin. laughing6-hehe

Me likes the light it throws back.

Yellow is A1 for stimulating the gray matter however....
in time you might find after long hours in the shop that you feel some what mentally taxed or drained. Yellow has that quality about it.

But don't let us duders razz you about the colour.

My shop floor is pink and has a 8 x 10 oriental carpet on it, you know to keep me feet warm and besides..it helps hide all that pink, which is now kind of a faded dusty pink...sawdust ya know. laughing6-hehe

But, everything's so......BIG! :?

Seriously, like. Wow. Most all of your tools are of the caliber the rest of us could only dream of. You're very fortunate to have all that. What'll you be stuck with when you move out I wonder? ;)

Nothing, just my chisels and planes lol.

Thanks everyone, the floor is yellow because my dad has limited vision and wanted a very bright shop so he could easily work in it.
