So I was driving by in a neighborhood and stopped by a garage sale. Ended up getting a sweet DeWalt sander.......for free! Works like new. I don't know about ya'll, but I LOVE free toys!! ![]() |

Got one just like it. Good for general sanding, not so much for finish sanding. It is not a random orbit and leaves a definite swirl pattern. |

I've had that exact DeWalt sander since I was 16. (13 years ago) I bought it to build my first electric with because the sanding block my father gave me didn't have a cord to plug into the wall. lol I have used that sander on everything from guitars to cornhole games to furniture pieces and its never failed me. You got a great deal (free) and a tool that will still be running fine long after you and I are gone. |

I used a lot of these types of sanders and have found that better finish prep can be achieved with sanders that use a shorter stroke....such as the Festool ETS125. With good paper the difference is noticeable visually and by touch. I won't go back. Still...free is pretty darn good. |
