I found these tuners from gotoh, weight only 11,9 grams each(!). Did anybody try them? I wouldnt say I love the looks, or the pricetag, but at less than half the weight of waverlies... http://www.allparts.com/Gotoh-ST31-SB5- ... 62-001.htm Anyone tried them? |

Hi Lars, I'm a month or so away from stringing up my first using these. I will definitely report back once I have had a chance to put them through the paces. The weight is the reason for me too that I am so excited to get them on a guitar. |

So far I have only found them for solid headstocks, do you know if they're available for slotheads? |

Aluminum or resin, according to a release about them. I'd like to see that tiny worm gear, care to take one apart and take a picture, Burton? ![]() |

Chris Pile wrote: Aluminum buttons? Not sure, but I was thinking of making maple buttons, for even less weight and more natural look. I haven't actually put them to use yet, but I do have a set of these tuners, and they seem great. However, if anyone would like to try them out, you can buy my set (normal height posts and gold shafts/keys). I hadn't realized there was a short post version when I ordered them, and I'd like to try embedding them in the headstock for an even better look. I'll make a post in the classifieds, or you can just PM me. I paid $105 from Shane, so I'll sell for the same. |

HI Bob! Really great to get to meet you at ASIA. I am nervous about taking it apart! Let me see if I can get my nerve up but it may be the next set that I actually open up. This one I am going to need (in working order) pretty soon. I am interested to see what is in there as well. |
