For those of you who use surgical tubing for doing binding, what diameter do you use and what length do you use? Thanks. |

I use this: http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.a ... 3838,47843 I have 2 lengths but have broken them both at points so I now have 4 pieces. I usually end up using three of them to wrap a guitar but I could do it with 2, or the equivalent of 1 length. I made a loop on one end and wrap that around first, it made it quicker to get started before the glue dried. There are some photos of a guitar wrapped up in my documented build thread in the fixtures and tutorials sub-forum. |

Mine is 7/16"OD, 1/4"ID. 50-foot continuous. I sometimes have the fear that I'm going to lose control and have the guitar frisbee across the room but it hasn't happened yet. |

I have gotten wacked in the face when it is unwinding off of the guitar! That is no fun. I have also had it break off the end of the binding when I lose control of the unwinding and I haven't tacked the ends down yet. That is really no fun. |
