Can someone give me the list of the wood temperature to use with the lmii blankets please ? I have lost the documentation lmii give with the blankets

The temperatures recommended by John Mayes are as follows: Indian Rosewood: 300f Mahogany: 310f Maple (bigleaf): 290f Maple (European): 280f Brazilian Rosewood: 305f Cocobolo: 310f Koa: 300f Paduk: 310f Walnut: 300f Other Rosewoods: 300f The article in which these appear is http://www.lint.org/TechNotes/Mayes/MayesNotes.html |

Most of the woods on that list start to give a long way before 300f, more like once steam starts to form if you've used some minor amount of wetting. I don't know that I've ever gotten anything on that list to anywhere near that temperature (except Padauk). Walnut starts to bend at close to room temperature if you just tell it to. (well, sort of ...  )Now Padauk, on the other hand ... How hot will this thing go? |

I start bending around ~230 It only takes it about 1 minute or so to get to ~230 (probably less) All of this is explained in the article should you care to read it. The numbers were based off ones I learned while working for Dana Bourgeois. I altered them slightly, although it probably doesn't matter too much. |
