Post subject:  Writing on wood...

I want to write some serial like numbers on my small wood stash so that I can keep track of what I have, dimensions, cost, etc. and log it into a simp[le spreadsheet. What do you all recommend that I use to write on the wood. I've used chalk before but don't like it. Don't want to use wax crayons. How about those Gel Pens in a metallic color, is that safe? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Scott

How about a pencil?

Use low-tack self-adhesive labels.

That's pencil on the edges of those tops? What about on dark colored back and side sets?

The Berol 'Prismacolor' argent metallic #PC949 pencil works well on dark woods.
