His forte is slide (check more tube vids and you will see what I mean) but he does a pretty good job of belting out this old tune on an acoustic ![]() This is a nice slide piece ![]() Cheers Kim |

Monster player! I wonder who made that super wide hollow neck. Never seen one like that. |

Monster player indeed Alan. The builder is a fella by the name of David Churchill whose workshop is located in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. http://www.churchillguitars.com/ |

Kim: Really liked that Vincent piece. Never seen this chap before....my lose for sure. Super player and the type of person you need to play new guitars to make them open quickly....!! Thanks. Tom |

Very good slide player, for someone who is trying to master that style it's a bit of a kick up the butt. I must say though that as a great Richard Thompson fan, I think he should have stuck to the slide, I really didn't like the way he did one of my favourite songs, one of the songs that I loved playing myself when I had fingers! I had a Bonneville, but always yearned for a Vincent, but I wanted the Black Shadow. Colin |

I had a Bonneville, but always yearned for a Vincent, but I wanted the Black Shadow. Colin Funnily enough was thinking the same thing... (although never had the skill to play that) but if being as fair as I can be, being a huge RT fan, it was less about the interpretation as the guitar playing is great (if quite diffferent from RT), but not sure his voice (nor any cover I have heard) works as well as RTs with that song, his rasp and unique expression, just works so well with the lyric and picking... so difficult to be objective when I love the original so much |
