Hello all, when i built my first guitar i used sawn bracewood frim lmi ,for the next one i thought i'd try some split wood so i ordered some from alaska specialty woods along with a couple of very nice sitka tops.My question is what is the best way to proscess this into brace blanks? they have three sawn sides and one split side ,do i use the split side as a reference or the sawn side?,they are about 25mm thick by the way, i've posted a couple of pictures aswell .Thanks all Roby

I usually just joint the split face, square up one side and off to the table saw.
