A friend/bandmate is having an electric guitar built (not by me) and wants an intense quilted top for it.

I told him I'd try to source something for him.

Where do I go for something like this.

Needs to be the best stuff available.

Are you looking for a thick one to resaw & make something like a Les Paul carve top?

Grizzly has some nice ones but they want over $300 each eek

If you don't need something as thick, it shouldn't cost so much.

I got lucky and found some nice ones at my local Woodcraft for $70 each. They said that they were rejects from a guitar maker. The only thing I found wrong with them is that the figure is not as intense on the back face as it is on the front but they are about 2-1/4" thick so the figure should be decent in the middle when I resaw them.
