It's For a Weissenborn Style guitar which is about 40" but the binding from Stew Mac is only 34", so I need to make It longer. Thanks for your help. Ron |

Did you intend to post a picture because I don't see one?I'm sure It's not difficult with a band saw, which I no longer have because the new craftsman 10" that I purchased a couple months ago had a bad motor so I returned It. I'm holding out for something bigger and better. I thought about just adding the shorter piece to the neck area, but wanted to know how others would do It just to be sure. Thanks ron |

Thanks ron I wouldn't use a bandsaw for a scarf on a thin piece. This is a job for a small modeler's saw ($5 Zona Razor saw), mini miterbox or shooting board/plane. |

Hi Todd, May bad, I forgot that couldn't view photos on my side of the computer because I'm having some flash issues. I went to my wifes side and saw that is was there. Ron |

Use the main length for the upper and lower bout parts of the bend, scarf the neck or wherever is convenient with a chisel as you work. I don't see how a well done joint is a bad thing, and doing it in advance is a waste of time. |

Hi Tarhead, Actually I was referring to making binding from scratch. I have and intend to use an ex-acto razor saw. thanks ron |
