Any of you utilizing colored purfling lines near binding or on rosette) in your purfling scheme? If so, would you mind sharing a few pics? Thinking of using a green purfling line on my next build and wanted to see how others have used color to match/contrast the woods used. Thanks! |

Fillipo, is that a yellow purfling line beside the green one? In the pic, the green looks lighter colored.......is it this way in person? Are the colored lines made from fiber and do you know where you sourced that? Thanks for posting this picture! |

That is nice laurent! I like the way the lines fade in and out around the perimeter. Are the lines wood or fiber? |

All different species of wood, white is curly red maple. The green and dark blue lines are dyed veneer sheets from Constantine. |

I'll post pics when I get home. I have black/red/black, black/green/black, and black/blue/black already made from Gurian. When Tony K posted his harp guitar using black/green/black, I was absolutely and completely smitten! |

Looking forward to the pics James. Do you have a pic of Tony K's guitar? Also, I'm interested to see how the B/G/B from Guarin looks under finish as the green looks very light colored on the website and I'm wanting a dark green. |

The green fibre from Gurians is sort of mid coloured, the green wood veneer is darker, almost iredescent (you have to see it in person) - I just got some and am using on it a couple projects, one a double neck in coco, the other a new harp in figured sapele .. here is a harp shot ... |

Thanks for those pictures James and Tony. Appears there are several shades of green to choose from which is nice. Some are more a mint green (or at least a lighter green) and some have a neon or irridescent quality. For what I have in mind, I would like to find a darker green (or at least not a light shade). A shade like in the pic below or a little darker would be appealing. Any suggestions on a source for a green of this shade? Attachment: 30s Style Martin Purfling.jpeg
