I am sure most know Dremels tools are far from great when it comes to precision routing like with a rosette channel. As far as I know Foredom tools fit the Stewmac base. Do any air die grinders fit? Thanks |

Good question, and I'll be looking to see what comes up here. I have a Sioux pencil die grinder, that I use in a plexi base made and sold by Custom Pearl Inlay. It is excellent, but does not mate up to the SewMac router base. But looks like an easy retrofit to mate this plexi base to the StewMac Rosette circle cutting base attachment, ....that's a thought. What I WOULD like is a way to match up the StewMac router base to a Proxxon.!!! Michael |

I use a dremel 4000 in a stew mac base with a 1/16 carbide end mill bit and find it very accurate for rosettes.. |

I use a Roto Zip with a flex shaft attached to the stew-mac router base. It gives me more power and alot better control than a dremel. You just need to add one metal washer between the flex shaft handle and collar and your good to go!!!! |
