I just got back from the Guitar Heroes exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Amazing exhibit! I am looking at a mandolin, I turn around and
Dick Boak, Chris Martin IV and an entourage from Martin Guitars are taking a tour. It was nice to say hi!
Timing is everything! Great exhibit, runs through July 4th. A must see for arch top builders. Really. My clients have raved about it these few months and I will be going back several times. Hope to see you all at ASIA. I will be presenting with Erick Coleman a talk on the business of repair shops. Should be fun!

Thanks Matt! The presentation at the Met is well done. The level of craftsmanship on the Monteleone guitars is staggering. I literally was looking at heel caps for like 10 minutes. Are you sure you can't come up for a day? Its really worth it. And of course there is Flor De Mayo :)

I went to the MET and saw the exhibit -very cool.

I was with a guided tour group of about 10 people and when the leader heard I built guitars she had met throw in my 2 cents at various points.

One of the high points for me was to see D'Angelicos and D'Aquistos molds patterns and notes.

Yeah Brad, that display with the tools was very cool. Those were some old rusty spool clamps!
Looking forward to seeing you Bob!

Hi Bob,
I don't have the vacation time, or money to do ASIA and GAL so I'm still undecided. I was leaning towards GAL, but now that I know Evan is presenting I'm leaning towards ASIA, What a dilemma.

I still say that Dick and Chris went away thinking "We saw Evan Gluck today! What are the odds?!"
Good luck in your presentation, buddy.
