Hi, all again. I'm trying to pick what kind of wood I should get for my neck for my guitar
the box is zebrawood and the top is sitka spuce. I'm new at this so I'm not sure would would best sound with my choice of woods. I saw some indian rosewood and thought it would look cool but according to to LMI its more of a new wood for next building. what do you guys think?
Micah.

Get some straight grain quartersawn 4/4 Honduran mahogany stock and build your neck with it (stacked heel and scarfed peghead). It is economical, will teach you a couple of things about grain matching and gluing and will be easy to carve, even with dull tools.
EIR can make a nice neck, I am sure of it. However it is much more expensive, heavier and tougher to carve, on you and your tools.
I ruined a couple or neck blanks before I could cruise through the process, and not even on my 1st guitar.

Honduran Mahogany looks great with Zebrawood.
