Any recommendations on the thickness of a mahogany top for an all mahogany small jumbo? bracing wood recommendations?

I was just about to start a thread on the same topic. I'll add a question about species as well and hang up and listen.

ditto Todd,
and spruce is always best for top braces.

In my (very limited) experience, Todd and David are right. I just finished my first all-mahogany guitar on Sunday, and I'm thrilled with it. An OM. Loud, punchy and very articulate. I have a hard time imagining it opening up all that much, if only because I can't imagine making a guitar that sounds that nice. I'm not that good :-)

I think Steve is right.
My one all Mahogany guitar hasn't "opened up" anything like a spruce top guitar normally does.
It did sound awesome right out of the gate though! bliss

I built a j45 style with a mahogany top at just under .120. It sounds really good. It's been over a year and I'm convinced that it's opened up a bit. Spruce braces.
