What is a good kerf size for a table saw blade to use to cut side slots on a neck block? Would 3/32 be a good choice? Thanks for any advice.

You must be talking classical there. Don't know.

Yes, sorry. I should've been more specific. This is for a classical guitar.

Well, 3/32 is .094 thousands of an inch... How thick are those sides?

I use a 7 1/4 plywood blade. not sure of the kerf definetly thiner than 3/32. I dont think there is much set on the teeth and the plate is thiner. I got it at the home depot. I just got what seemed the to be the thinest one they had. My sides are about .085 or so and the cuts gives a nice fit. the 7 1/4 size is plenty high enough for the cut.

Thanks all for the input. I think I was making this more complicated then it needed to be.
