I'm really starting to like the evo fret wire...especially to match gold tuners. I used it on a fan fret classical and love it. I also just used it on a L-OO and it looks great...BUT...I find the intonation can be a bit off with FX 740's strings. I play with heavy fingers and can change the pitch with pressure alone....is it the light strings....or should I look at a lower height wire? Reg. Evo ht. .043 (currently on L-OO)...or should I have used the lower option .037 wire for my style of playing on a SS and light string choice? Kent |

I think the height of evo wire is average, and my guitars with the stuff play in tune. |

John Mclaughlin, would likely agree with your thoughts on lower frets. Since his technique is based on tall frets with a scalloped fingerboard and light strings to achieve microtonal scales. Sounds like your issues were with the SS, is that fan fret too? Fan frets are very unforgiving under heavy hands if you drift sharp, pulling flat almost gives some forgiveness. Rob |

No the SS wasn't a fan fret. My classical was a fan fret and I used HT Savarez strings on it and don't have any real intonation issues it. |
