I have been asked in the past who makes the big spiral flush trim bits I use in my router table for pattern work: Originally made in Oakland CA as OCEMCO (Oakland Carbide), moved to Paso Robles and name changed to PR Carbide, and most recently sold to: Great Lakes Custom Tool Mfg., Inc. "Your Cutting Tool Partner" 101 N. Old Peshtigo Road Peshtigo, WI 54157 Phone: (715)582-3884/800-873-4528 Fax: (715)582-4373 Web: www.glct.com I can not answer to the quality of the tooling in it's newest incarnation, but so far the customer service has been very good. -C |

Chase what operations do you perform with that bit? That's an awesome bit. |

For example I cut neck blanks to shape on this pattern. I run the truss rod groove first and use it as reference on the neck blank with the spline. I cut the peghead to shape with a very similar type pattern. -C |
