Makes me want to install a GPS tracker on all my guitars! ...nah, that would probably affect the tone |

Well Doug, at least I'm not embarassed (I don't suppose I would have posted it here if I was....) but I do see things that I've moved away from. The sort of chunky looking heel with straight (rather than nicely curved) edges where it meets the body, the standard Hauser style commercial rosette, and the straight nut are all things which I would not do today. Also the geometry of this guitar is pretty standard without the top doming or "fall off" behind the bridge as well as the interior bracing being a standard 7 fan arrangement without a treble bar. It also doesn't have the straight Torres style harmonic bars which I now use and which I think help the higher registers. Pat, yes the original owner has had it the whole time and I didn't know that it was up for sale until a contact in the UK sent the listing to me! No complaints though, it's a rare player who doesn't move on to a different instrument in that long a time. |

Are you sure it was 1984? It looks brand new. Pretty amazing for 26yrs of playing I hope I can look back at one of mine after 26yrs and have it look that good |

Hi David, I love to be reunited with an old guitar, in fact I encourage local owners to bring them by for a "set up" or any little repair, just to visit. As far as seeing one on ebay or craiglist, I've come to love seeing one change hands. If the seller links my website, I get tons of hits, free advertising! Second, and this is purely selfish, gone is the original warranty, not that I don't stand behind my work to any later owner. There is something special about playing and spiffing-up one of your old guitars. |
