I was wondering if a Fein multi tool (not the cheap knock offs) would possibly have any merit in some of those situations with an altered foot.
Although a bit pricey just for that but I've been looking for reasons to buy one.

Does anyone have any tips on how to fine sand and polish hard to reach areas such as the neck/body joint and the fingerboard/body joint? Using the buffing wheel with Menzerna compounds just seems to pack crud into these areas. Thanks |

I'm assuming you are dealing with spanish heel. As far as cleaning polishing compound out of the corners I will use cheap craft artist paint brushes to clean out tight areas from time to time. I'll shape blocks of wood with self adhesive paper to sand tight areas. Sometimes hand polish tight areas too, whatever it takes. I also us the brushes to clean out glue squeeze out from the kerfs when applying lining. |

I glue fine grits of Sandpaper to credit cards and items like that. you can cut them to shape if necessary. Then you can sand right up into a corner at the neck or the bridge. |

I use various erasers as sanding & polishing backing pads for those hard-to-reach areas. They're easy to customize with a razor or exacto knife. |
