What are your thoughts on using the optional X bracing for the back of the OLF Small Jumbo. Pros? Cons? Thanks |

I use an x-brace in the LB of all my guitars and am thinking of doing it in the upper as well. It gives the back its spherical shape by the braces; unlike straight braces make it tubular and them the rims forces the curve @90deg to make it spherical. Made sense to me when I read about it, but in the end I doubt its a big pro or con. If everything else was done right, your guitar would sound good with either back bracing style. I think it just looks cool. |

Thanks for your opinion. I've used the X brace on the guitar I'm building for my daughter. Planning to build another for myself soon and was interested in what if anything it may contribute to tone. |
