Hello my name is Alex, i am from Germany and I am reading here every day. Till now I did not post so much, just enyoing the show.... ![]() ![]() Question: I bought some Ziricote lumber and I will resaw it by myself. I have a big bandsaw, and already made lots of experience with resawing BRW and other Dalbergias. Till now i always used a bandsawblade from a German supplier, called HEMA, the band called HEMA IKARUS. It works fine, has a medium kerf and overall is for shure a good blade, but I am not satisfied with the quite fast glogging (clogging???)...well it gets too fast too dirty and slimey with wooddust and oils, so i always have to stop the saw, clean the blade with aceton and so on. It also dulls quite fast, well it is ok, but now i have to resaw some more. So i want something better, I want to try the Woodmaster CT from Lenox. ![]() I tried to order one blade via Internet, doesnt work. So I found out that Lenoy has a distributer here in Europe, in the Netherlands. They sent me a salesman, i had a ice coversation about bandsawblades, but he told me, unfortunatelly Lenox Europe has not the blade i want, the 27mm x 0,9mm with 1,3 TPI. But he made contact to Lenox USA, and they would ship me some Blades. YUHUHUHUHHHHH, ![]() BUT: The minimal order quantity is 5 blades, wich would cost me about 650 Euros, and thats quite a lot of money for me. ![]() Can anybody recomment the Woodmaster CT for resawing Ziricote, or does it dull quickly? Does it clog fast? Hoping for answers form the very nice and supertalentet people here.... Here a link of a guitar i built, just to prove that I am not a fake asking stupid Questions: ![]() http://www.fiedler-guitars.de/fiedler/g ... index.html You know, it is just awful lots of money for me for 5 sawblades, so I must be sure that they work well for my job. Best Regards and wishes, alex |

Google bandsaw suppliers; I've ordered from several USA oufits without problems at all. Try U-Cut and/or Spectrum Supply. Both carry Lennox blades, both ship to Europe (well, to The Netherlands anyway). |

Thanks, but somehow the link doesnt work with my computer, anyhow i will contact these guys, perhaps they can send me one. But anyhow, i actually have a good suppliere for the Lenox woodmaster ct, i just have to take 5 pieces. So actually my question is not where to get them, more if they are suited for resawing ziricote, how many sets approximately i will get out of one blade life and so on. thanks , alex |

Honestly? Pick up the phone and call. Often easier in the long run. It's how I've gotten the info I needed in the past. |
