I'm making a mad dash to at least get this one (L-OO shape based guitar) in the spray booth tomorrow. Christmas guitar for youngest son who is about to be a dad and me another grampa to someone. He'll have to wait for the buff job.
Coco/sitka/ebony binding/coco bridge.

That's the nicest neck-carving I've seen.
He should be proud (as should you)!

Kent - your carving never ceases to amaze!! The coco back is wonderful and also shows your artistry. Cheers.

with work like that, I'm already embarassed at my first guitar and I haven't even begun to build one yet....

I love the inclusion of sapwood on the back to give it that nice, creamy blaze. You really get a feel of the wood - both raw and refined at the same time. and the carving... humbling, to say the least. Incredible job!
