I was wondering if there has ever been the idea of having a live chat with a pro about a particular topic? My idea is we would pick a topic say waterbase lacquer finishing and then get someone like Jeff Jewitt to answer questions in real time for the next hour or two? Some topics really get hashed out a lot her, like pore filling for one. Recently in the tru oil discussion I wonder how much stuff is being made up or what? I think Michael Dredsner, a professional finsher, did explain the oil wipe on finishing thing once. Even though I have a bunch of books & videos I still don't have a crystal clear understanding of it. MM |

Mario has tried this on his site, with William Cumpiano and I think some other builders on occasion. The exchange gets pretty frenetic, if there are more than a couple of people throwing questions out. (Often the guest lost track of the flow of questions). |
