Oh, yes as Rod says, the Peterson Strobosoft App is the only one worth bothering with, not the cheapest App in the world but way cheaper than buying a Strobe and, in comparison tests with our lab strobe supremely accurate.

What it the procedure for tap tuning with the strobe? Is there a particular frequency you want to achieve? I don't know much about tap tuning, but I am very interested. I have that app on my Iphone already and use to for tuning my guitars.
Thanks,
Mike R.

Actually, I've found that the "Pro Tune" app is better then the Peterson. The Peterson actually will read phantom 4ths and 5ths at some points. They've fixed it a couple of times but in the mean time I found the Pro Tune to work better and it's strobe doesn't show the octaves flashing in and out next to the primary note, that gets distracting. Their strobe rolls right and left (sharp and flat) and that's all I need.

It also has the Buzz Feiten system for an additional cost (totally worth it).

To be honest, the guys that made it are long time clients of mine and there are even cooler things coming down the line. (Serious!) While "Pro Tune" is a Planet Waves (D'Addario) app the guys that developed are Audiofile Engineering and they've done some killer audio related software and app work (they've done all the Planet Waves stuff) and they work directly with Apple.

Peterson is great but there's more function, beyond the tuner, in the Pro Tune app for me.
