i'm looking for a small, portable, point of use dust collector/vaccum. something who's hose/snout can be clamped up next to a router or pad sander etc... something that's very quiet. i've tried some shop vac's but they die in a couple of months. my "shop" is really tiny and I don't have room or money for a full blown cyclone system just yet and the neighbors are probably at their noise limit already
any ideas?

thanks!

I think the Festool dust extractors are pretty handy for that type of use. I don't have any real world experience with it, but I believe Hesh (OLF member) has one.

Fein and Festool make the top of the line units. I have a porter cable that comes on when you start the tool. It works very well but is not as quiet as Fein or Festool.
