Post subject:  Glueing soundboard and back

I'm getting ready to glue the soundboard and back on and I am thinking about using my go bar press. Will that work and if you don't think it will what would be better?
Thanks
Mike

Yes, I do all mine that way.
IMHO it is a great way to go
I use a piece of 3mm thick mdf cut to the outline of the top or back to protect it against damage from slippage.

I started with clamps, then a modified spool clamping technique with threaded rods in my mold, and finally go-bars. I've used the go-bars for five or six years and would never go back to anything else.

I am on my first I didnt have enough clamps and didnt want to buy them, didnt want to spend the time making them, so I bought some kite rods and cut them in half. I actually just use the tray underneath my bench as my gobar deck, and it worked perfectly. I adjust the height with a piece of plywood under my workboard to vary the pressure.

Thanks for the responses, I'm glad to hear the go bars work. I like the idea of cutting the piece of wood to use between the go bars and the top and back.
