Is there a way to determine where to leave the peaks on scalloped bracing? I've read so many different things, and so many different opinions, I don't know what to believe. I have a Santa Cruz 00 all mahogany, with scalloped bracing, and it sounds fantastic. As I cyle through playing my three different guitars, everytime I get to my OO, I'm amazed at how much quality sound I get from such a small guitar. I was thinking of just trying to copy it, as far as the bracing goes, but I'm using carpathian spruce, and I figured it would need different brace shaping than a mahogany. I know that since it's my first build, I'm not going to be able to tell much difference, since I have nothing to compare it to. I just want this thing to sound good! Any tips on locating the scalloped peaks is greatly appreciated. Sean |

About 3 inches in from the edge is what I've heard most often. Chuck |
