My first thought is why? Making a jig to drill bridge pin holes accurately is very easy. Pat |

I've made 3 and there's something wrong (albeit a different thing) with each one. ![]() ![]() ![]() I know this seems easy but I'm missing something and looking for a solution. |

OK, my second thought is that this particular jig doesn't appear to offer an easy way of aligning the bridge blank under the jig holes. So it looks to me to have a higer PITA factor than the home made version (i.e. the one Tony Karol posted pictures of some time back). Pat |

I have the LMI jig. It comes with pointed locating pins. If you draw a straight line on bridge the pins can be lowered through the holes and positioned on the line (that's what I do with the pins that came in the package anyway). There is a little bit of positioning hassle i guess. The end result is a very nice, straight row of holes. I have not seen the Tony Karol jig. It sounds interesting. |

I use the LMI jig too. My only complaint is that I wish it would have one more set of holes for even larger spacing for 12 strings. It works well. |
