There are no instructions how this thing is used once assembled. Actually, in my opinion, the plans are not clear as far as assembly goes either. Is there information on it somewhere here or on some other website? I couldn't find any. |

Same feeling here. I bought a set of plans a couple of years ago, never having seen it used or found any info on it, it never got built. Now that I've got and used the Simpson jig it would probably make more sense to me. Joe |

Same here, a little criptic. Probably makes total sense to Paul. After staring at it a while, I've pretty much figured it out, but will probably not make it exactly the same anyway. |

Somewhere there is a thread that goes through how to use this in some detail. The evolution of these plans were that after seeing the thread many asked if plans were available. That was the spark that got the plans drawn up. So taken out of context it is not surprising they are a little cryptic. In truth though, the jig is pretty easy to use. It took me about an hour to get everything aligned the first time I used it and after that it was a very simple process to cut the tenons and be very close on the neck angle. Once the jig is set up well it only takes a few minutes to dial everything in and cut. I will dig a little this evening to see if I can find that original thread. |

If you can follow the plans and build it, then it becomes self explanatory on how to use it. You can also view Jon Simpson's video on his jig. They work very similar. Bob |
