Purty... I really like the L-OO shape, so much so that I've got three of my own. I also like your solution for a pickguard. None of mine have them because I couldn't come up with a shape that fit the waist and looked good. Now I've got some inspiration. What kind of neck joint are you using? From the pics it doesn't look like your neck has much material at the heel. BTW the figured multi-piece neck might be my favorite part of your build. Bob |

Very cool! I'm hooked on the 00 size. I am so close to finishing my first 00 I could scream! (2nd build). Mine is based on the GAL L00 plans but I used a Epiphone ELOOVS for the body shape (a touch more butt. I hope mine turns out half as nice as yours. |

Thanks for the compliments gentlemen. I'll try to answer the questions. It's a bolt on mortise tendon neck joint. The finish is nitrocellulose and yes the heel is very low profile. The quilt is awesome and it came from Brock. The plans are modified Grellier plans. The neck is made up of some Curly Maple I had with the incorrect grain orientation...corrected with lamination. The bracing is very minimal as sugested by William Cumpiano. He saw my bracing on the first top and said, "Too much lumber under there." So I took his advice and made another top with scary small bracing and left out one of to traverse bars at the top under the end of the fretboard as well one of the bass bars on the lower bout. Thanks Willian C. The result is wonderful as it does sound as good as it looks. |

The second side I just cooked a little longer than the first. The shop smelled like Maple oatmeal raisin cookies baking. (Got Milk) I was surprised that there was no cupping on the sides to speak of and no cracks. All of the Maple was nearly quarter cut. The back lost some arch but not enough to be a problem. Thanks for the compliment. |
